- I have a Sportster 33.6, and I use Windows 95 dialup networking to establish my PPP
- network link. My problem is that I have set my com port to 115200, and I recieve the
- message that I am connected at this speed from dialup networking ALWAYS. No matter what
- speed I actually connect at, the "connected to" box shows me that I am connected at
- 115200. My dialin service has 14.4's, 28.8's, and 33.6's, and I'd love to know what I am
- connected at, without having to sit here and listen to the negotiation (it sometimes takes
- a while for me to get an free line, and I leave the room).
-
- I have read that adding W2 to my modems init would solve this problem, but it doesn't. I
- have also taken a look in the registry, on the suggestion that I edit Windows responses to
- connect messages. Unfortunately, the Win95 resource kit on the CD only gives a brief
- account of what is going on.
-
- Any help would be greatly appreciated!
